The 12th edition of this Bordeaux-focused tasting salon created by critic Jean-Marc Quarin, gathering around forty selected estates, exclusive tasting workshops and an inaugural dinner hosted by Yannick Alléno.
The Salon des Outsiders returns to Paris for its 12th edition on 19, 20 and 21 November 2026, at the Pavillon Ledoyen on the Champs-Élysées. Created in November 2013 by independent Bordeaux critic Jean-Marc Quarin and Fabrice Léger, the event invites amateurs and wine lovers to discover a curated selection of around forty Bordeaux estates and beyond, tasted across three vintages: 2022, 2020, plus an older "coup de coeur" vintage chosen by the organisers.
True to its name, the salon champions "Outsider" wines, bottles whose quality exceeds what their label or reputation would suggest. Jean-Marc Quarin built his reputation over more than two decades of rigorous, comparative blind tastings, and the Journal of Wine Economics has named him one of the most influential critics on the Bordeaux market. The tasting route at the salon is organised to make the vineyard easy to understand, separating Right Bank and Left Bank estates so that visitors can compare the two dominant styles side by side and form their own preferences, in direct conversation with the winemakers and technical directors presenting their wines.
La Grande Dégustation (Friday 20 November, 15:00-21:00, and Saturday 21 November, 11:00-19:00): The heart of the event, bringing together around forty Bordeaux and international estates presenting their latest vintages, organised by bank of the Garonne to guide tasters through the region's two main styles.
Ateliers Dégustation (Saturday 21 November): Two exclusive masterclasses: a panoramic, comparative tasting of Château La Mission Haut-Brion versus Château Haut-Brion, two Grands Crus of Pessac-Léognan (11:00-13:00), followed by a Wine Glass Experience hosted by Riedel (15:00-16:00).
Dîner des étoiles (Thursday 19 November, from 20:00): An inaugural dinner at the Pavillon Ledoyen, specially designed by Chef Yannick Alléno together with Jean-Marc Quarin, opening the three-day event in style.
