Une Bouteille à la Mer (BALM) is the first living wine fair on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, and already one of Provence's most distinctive natural wine events. Held at Domaine Fondugues-Pradugues in Ramatuelle, amid the pine trees and vineyards of the Var coast, the fair brings together around thirty winemakers from across France who share one conviction: wine should be alive, authentic, and made without compromise.
Now in its second edition, BALM was born out of a simple observation: the Saint-Tropez peninsula, too often associated with "pool rosé", actually produces wines of real quality – wines grown with care, certified organic or biodynamic, vinified with indigenous yeasts and minimal sulphur. The fair was created to celebrate these producers, and to open the conversation to fellow winemakers from Provence, the Loire Valley, Beaujolais, the Rhône Valley, Champagne, Burgundy, Languedoc-Roussillon and the Jura.
Beyond the tastings, BALM is a genuine celebration: food trucks, a wine bar, live music and surprises make it a festive day out for both wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers. Entry is just €5.
The format is intentionally informal and convivial. Winemakers pour directly from their tables, with time and space for real conversation. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, taste widely, and discover bottles they would be unlikely to find elsewhere.
